Family Therapy
Family relationships are often the most formative and important connections in our lives. The love and closeness, or the desire for it, remain a powerful foundation, even when things feel disconnected or full of conflict.
I help families notice the patterns of relating that keep everyone feeling stuck, and then we get curious about what drives them. With that clarity, families can move toward understanding, empathy, and connection. I also pay close attention to each relationship's strengths, which we lean on and grow throughout the work. Over time, families develop new ways of navigating hard conversations and hard moments together.
I typically meet with the whole family together, and often with individuals too. This helps me best understand what's going on for each person. Building trust with every family member is a priority, and I care deeply about reducing blame and shame along the way.
Issues I commonly work with:
Young adult–parent relationships
Parent-teen relationship strain
Adjusting to life transitions and changing family dynamics
Recurring patterns of conflict or withdrawal
Communication breakdown
Rebuilding trust or connection after a rupture
